Making 10c for a post is not a huge incentive for most, but I feel it has other advantages.

That is not incentive. That is discouraging.

Everyone's time is worth much more than $0.10, no matter what they post.

Literally even homeless beggars earn more than that, often in minutes, and I saw this with my own eyes, because nowadays I am also homeless (nowadays I live in a tent in the rocky semi-desert on Tenerife).

We have a lot of freedom here that cannot be taken for granted on other platforms that will bombard you with ads and 'suggested content' that you do not really care about.

The problem is that most Hive users do not really care about the content.

Often even the so called content curators.

Because often their upvotes are automated, so they often do not even see the content they are upvoting.

Most people on Hive can express whatever they like, but in most cases their posts are ignored/overlooked.

And if I mention this in Discord, then the first thing they ask is a non-sense question. How many comments did I wrote today.

That does not matter on a properly working social network.

In a properly social network, people write comments, because they are interested either in the content or in the author, but not in how many comments did he/she wrote under other people's posts.

And when they run out of any arguments on Discord, then they mention another completely irrelevant thing, the amount I earn.

Once they mentioned that I earned $2 on a post, as if they would be envious of that.

And they know that I have multiple disabilities, and that my monthly pension-like income is around $280 USD.

They are still envious of $2.

I really do not know what is wrong with some people.

Since then I very rarely check Discord.

And nowadays I also very rarely write comments under other people's posts.

Both on Hive, and on other platforms too.

But on other socially properly working platforms, at least the users use the platform naturally. They always write comments. No one ask others how many comments do they write. They just simply, naturally, genuinely write comments and answers.

The natural, genuine, real platform usage is one of the most important things what successful (socially properly working) platforms have.
