Reading for joy is the best. I love to read fantasy books in Hungarian and in English. Everytime I read in English, I learn in a foreign language, because I am Hungarian, and my native language is Hungarian. Hungarian is very far from English (it is not even Indo-European, like English, but Uralic), yet I still managed to learn English. I can read, I can write, I can understand the spoken language, and I can even speak in English. The most difficult about English was probably the many tenses. I mean in Hungarian, there is only three tenses. Past, present and future. English has so many. 12-16. But I still understand it and I am still able to communicate in English. I winder what it is like for an English person to learn Hungarian. These two languages are so different.
