Shopping has broad meaning but i'll be making reference to fashion. shopping has been termed to be a woman thing but this stereotype isn't true and it doesn't apply to everybody because not all ladies like shopping and vice versa
There's this statement my dad always says to me which is“You'll know how rich a man is through the appearance of his wife which is true”.
Let’s look deeper into why ladies shop more than men.
Normality: As we grow we all know it’s made normality that ladies put more priority on their appearance in fashion and many other things and guys put little or no effort into looking good instead they prefer to engage or use their time for other physical activities which makes them have less interest in going for shopping
Companionship: Apart from just going out to get stuff ladies seize the opportunity to hang out with other ladies, and family but guys prefer to hang out in another way that involves different activities.
Perfection: Ladies tend to look good to express how creative they’re when it comes to fashion and also they find power in the way they dress and this makes them express themself better and shop more while guys don’t care about the audience they just want to look good for themselves which makes them get contented with whatever they have in their wardrobe.
Influence: Most ladies feel less contented with whatever they have and will go extra mile to be like someone else when it comes to what they have and this applies to both genders but is more common in the female gender.
Passion: some ladies have this passion for fashion, it’s like a deep desire and commitment to clothing. They find peace in fashion and there is no fashion without shopping.
Trends: You’re most likely going to see a lot of women jump on trends, men do that too but it’s most common within women and it also has to do with influence
Preference: Men prefer to invest most of their capitals in shares, real estate, etc. than to use it in shopping while women believe spending on materialistic things is also a form of investment.
Responsibility:responsibility falls more on men making them have less time for themselves talk less of going shopping
Culture: in terms of fashion and shopping, culture has made it more favorable to women and the market has focused more on female trends.
in addition, shopping is a general thing that both genders engage in and it’s also a preference of choice. Some men shop as much as women, practically some men have a passion for fashion even more than women. so whether you are lady who loves shopping or a guy who loves other things do not hesitate to do what makes you happy.
