June 15 of 2018 was Tron's Independence Day, as called.
Tron used to be one of the thousands of Ethereum Tokens, working inside Ethereum's (ETH) blockchain.
Since then, Tron migrated to it's own blockchain, allowing developers to create Dapps exclusively for it. An example of the hype around it would be when Tron surpassed ETH in number os transactions (March 28th this year). We just gotta keep in mind that this is related to the majority of Tron services nowadays: Betting games. Careful with FOMO (fear of missing out).
