Animals and Their Importance in Our Lives

As Barbara Kingsolver puts it so beautifully,

We're animals. We're born like every other mammal and we live our whole lives around disguised animal thoughts.

Humans frequently overlook the reality that we are in fact animals. Nevertheless, whether we like to acknowledge it or not, animals have a big influence on who we are and how we live.

My affinity for animals started when I was a little child. My parents once presented me with a little black and white dog, which I fondly recall as my first pet.

I gave him the name "Porkchop" in honor of Doug Funny, one of my favorite cartoon characters. I became obsessed with animals and the joy they offer to our lives after that day.

My affection for animals only deepened as I got older. I've enjoyed having dogs, hamsters, birds, and even turtles as pets.

Each one has enriched my life with so much love and pleasure and taught me priceless lessons.
Animals and humans share an emotional bond, but that bond is not the only thing that matters.

Health Improvement

There are both physical and emotional health advantages to associating with animals, according to studies. Animals can improve general happiness and well-being by lowering blood pressure, easing anxiety and sadness, and even reducing stress.

The Unconditional Love of My Four-Legged Best Friend

"Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole." - Roger Caras

This quote couldn't be more true for me, as I am the proud owner of a 14-year-old dog named Attila.

He is not just any ordinary dog, but a special one that has been with me through thick and thin.

I adopted Attila when he was just a 1-month-old puppy, back in 2008. He was found on the streets, very ill, and in need of a loving home.

I knew from the moment I saw him that he was meant to be a part of my family.

Attila, “The Hun”:

He has been by my side through the ups and downs of life. Always there to comfort me during times of sadness, to celebrate with me during times of joy, and to simply keep me company during the mundane moments of everyday life.

My dog has a way of making everything better just by being there.

One of the things I love most about Attila is his unwavering loyalty and love. He is always there to greet me with a wagging tail and a big slobbery kiss, no matter how my day has been.

Pets don’t judge or hold grudges, they simply love, unconditionally.

"A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself." - Josh Billings

It is no secret that the companionship of a dog can bring a sense of calm and tranquility to our lives. Attila is no exception. Whenever I am feeling stressed or anxious, I know that a few minutes of cuddling with him will help to melt away those feelings. He has a way of grounding me and bringing me back to the present moment.

"Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole." - Roger Caras

Attila has been a constant source of love and joy in my life for the past 14 years. He has taught me the true meaning of unconditional love and I am forever grateful to have him as my companion. He may be getting older, but the love he brings to my life will never fade.

“Animals are such agreeable friends. They ask no questions, they pass no criticisms.” – George Elliot

Animais e sua importância em nossas vidas

Como Barbara Kingsolver coloca tão lindamente,

Somos animais.

Attila, “The Hun”:
