Jesus' story of healing was promulgated throughout the city and everywhere it happened that many went to Him seeking healing and one of them was a leper man who approached Jesus with great humility recognizing that if it was his will the would be healthy
Luke 5: 12-15
12 It happened that while he was in one of the cities, there was a man full of leprosy, who, seeing Jesus, fell down with his face on the ground and begged him, saying: Lord, if you want, you can cleanse me.
13 Then he reached out and touched him, saying, I want to; Be clean. And instantly the leprosy left him.
14 And he commanded him not to tell anyone; but go, he said, show yourself to the priest, and offer for your purification, as Moses commanded, to testify to them.
15 But his fame extended more and more; and many people gathered to hear him, and to heal them of their diseases (Reina-Valera 1960 (RVR1960)
This man was full of leprosy a cruel disease and rejected by all in ancient times because when someone suffered from this disease people did not approach them but Jesus did not care who was the disease of humanity to approach and heal
This healing of Jesus to the leper teaches us that He loves us without condition and whatever disease we suffer he never rejects us because his love has no limit He does not act like us He is a humble saint of compassionate heart and loves us with eternal love
By this time, leprosy could be the sin of humanity since, since we are all sinners, we are sick of sin which is a spiritual blindness that also needs to be healed by Jesus because He really came to heal the spiritual sick to give us salvation.
It is important to note that we do not all act as this leper did these words that Luke describes in verse 12 that says:
"He prostrated himself with his face on the ground and begged him, saying: Lord, if you want, you can really cleanse me. It is a great act of humility and recognition of God.
We need humility and recognition to God in order to be healed spiritually and physically.
