Greetings my fellow steemians and members of the #steem church. Today, I would like to write Christ’s ultimate message given to us by our Lord Jesus Christ. This is the message of love. This is the most widely misconstrued message in Christianity because as much as we preach it, we still manage to pass the wrong message.
Let me clarify what I mean by wrong message. By wrong message. I mean how many times have you had a predetermined view about a person based on what you heard or a particular choice a person made?? Or how many times have you treated a person differently because he was not a Christian worse, if we were not a Christian of your denomination?
The truth is you might have not but you definitely have someone who you know who has a stereotypical view of a certain group of people and this makes it bad, and wrong because by so doing, we limit the love that we extend to them. We must learn, as Christians, to see everyone with the same eyes as God sees us all. We can only love one another but leave God to be the judge for all.
In the book of first Corinthians, apostle Paul makes us understand that if we claim to have all the gifts of the Holy Spirit without love in our hearts, then we are just noisemakers. This goes to show that love, the greatest gift of all, is what we should strive and yearn for daily in our lives. We should show love to those who have little or nothing to offer us, we should show love to our subordinates as we treat our equals or those above us.
We should learn to love our neighbors without condition. Learn to love those around you without judging them for their life choices.
