Well I like that an app now exists but upon testing I almost feel it would be better of NOT existing since it's missing so much of what is standard in VIDEO content delivery. So I fear only diehard 3Speak users will accept such a basic offering.
Is it just a wrapper posing as a "mobile app" ? Because it won't even do Fullscreen and when in horizonal mode it stretches the video beyond it's natural scale.
No ability of remembered content position or even remembering anything when leaving the app and returning back to it. Also all video icons under "recommended" just show the oversized 3S logo and no actual videos clickable.
All those icons too need to go because the way the video specific information such as 'time' 'views' utilizes them makes it look clumsy and toyish.
I really thought the redesign of 3Speak and the roll out of mobile app would bring some impressive UI but this isn't it man.
In today's world where Ai is pushing the forefront of digital content and the platforms delivering them are looking super polished, the UI of "web3" things is going to have to be stepped up immensely.
TL;DR = The current year is 2023
That app took me back in time resembling days of mIRC and ICQ.
This place desperately needs honest criticism and a big kick in the nuts in order for things to catch up to web2.
If only catering to under developed nations is the plan then ok carry on.. but things aren't going to be pulling in audiences in the west as they are.
