Yeah I don't disagree with the logic of converting value but that's just so far away from what the prime principle of those Hive backed dollars and what their intended usage was meant to be.
Well the truth is that all crypto struggles with that. Even the king BTC really still has no usage other than to have the next sucker pay for yesterday's believer's gains. My point is that @dan had a vision. It made sense in a pretentiously libertarian industry that crypto was evolving into.
It's all just about profits now though and sure that's something that humans hold as important but then in the long run.. this Hive thing has nothing that really makes it stand out as a revolutionary system.
I'm aware of the progress that coders are making but in all the years that these chains have existed they haven't realized any significant ways to generate sustainable and stable growth of people's investments.
CRYPTO: Trustless the promise.
Your money the guarantee.
Profits* dependent... on more fools continuing the cycle.
WHAT ACTUALLY is HIVE?
This blogging thing imo, is not even relevant. I see you often correcting payouts with DVs because often trails give more UVs than people think the content deserves. So that's just broken.
The very trails people jump onto for THEIR PROFITS are seen as broken because they're possibly giving profits to content that (by the view of some) isn't deserving. YET blogging (content) is the only option available for profit seeking for the masses.
So if content creation is the game then the very community hoping for external interest in this Hive product are actively making it look unattractive. WTF MAAN?
Let those payouts run rampant. FIX THE AUTOMATED VOTE CODE if many believe it's broken. PUNISHING those that work to produce content is ridiculous though. That's a sure way to shrink your workforce.
Which is what Hive has become. A group of poor folks working, creating content so that those who can afford to, can put their automated votes into.. to return profits back to them.. and throw crumbs to the workers to keep them working.
Anyway I'm off topic but it's because I'm looking at the bigger picture. Markets are imo, the next thing that could and would grow Hive. Latin America loves markers man. SELLING ORANGES on the side of the road is after all how EL CHAPO began his empire.
