Interesting man. I am entertaining thoughts on something similar which would relate to any content created on chain. Which then makes me curious about this.
Because I wonder how does this make the content exist in the wider internet? In my current imagination, I believe a PROTOCOL that lives with rights and limitations would make the content it is attached to unique both in blockchain worlds and regular internet. Or else how can creators on blockchain be recipients of value outside of blockchain?
For instance if a song with this cXc is played where there is no tokenomics then what happens?
So a protocol that would be able to exist with specifics that then determine how value and reward is returned back to the place of origin and to the account/user that created it is is the path. Does this cXc do that?
So if 'blockchain_user' creates a song that 'youtube_user' plays repeatedly through the YouTube Music App as a subscriber, how does reward return to that 'blockchain_user' ?
This is where I believe blockchain technology is lacking. Big Industry has their DRM system which works across the internet and platforms play their part but then imo, content created on blockchain has to exist in a similar way.
NFTs are great but they aren't necessarily 'smart' imo. The buzz around them isn't the technology which they emerged from, but the speculation.. which imo isn't good because if that fades then no one will give a crap about them in future.
I like WAX though they're on the ball with development. I like this post too and think it needs to be recognized by more people here. This has much more potential than many projects here that are only focused on instant reward and not on how the existentially of the content should be treated and recognized.
