Mojacar is a small village on the south coast of the Spanish Mediterranean. It is on the top of a hill overlooking a whole plain and the view stretches all the way to the coast. During the 70's and 80's of the 20th century it was a haven for artists and bohemians from all over Europe, attracted by its authenticity and relaxed lifestyle. All this has been lost with the overcrowding of tourism and intensive farming, but the town centre still retains a certain charm.
