Years ago, I had a big ring light. I used it to take selfies, especially when I was bored and practicing makeup. But, after using it for how many months, the light is not switching on anymore because of overuse? My cousin is always using it for her online class, and when there is a blackout at night, she is using it as a light to continue to do her assignments, activities, and so on. I felt sad because it's expensive; it costs Php 450.00 ($26.33) for the 26-cm size of my ring light and I don't have something to use to take selfies at night but at the same time, I was glad because it could help my younger cousin with her studies.
Years have passed. Actually, last month, I was deciding if I could buy a ring light again. Because the quality of my phone's front camera is not that good, even in the morning. I am not satisfied with the outcome when I take photos and film videos. Especially when I am promoting makeup products in Tiktok because I decided to be an affiliate so that I could earn another income aside from writing blogs (I am still a beginner though). Aside from filming videos for promoting products, I would also like to write a makeup tutorial blog, just like when I started writing here on Hive.
But looking at the prices of the ring lights on the market, whether online or in application stores, I couldn't afford them. Some cost the same price as my ring light before, and due to the fact that the item is a breakable thing, the shipping fee is expensive as well. But then, after how many hours of scrolling—finding a good-quality, affordable, and legit ring light, finally! I found the exact ring light that met my expectations
After scrolling through the item's feedback from the other customers, it seems like the seller was careful with the item because there's a lot of good feedback from the customers. The item arrived safely to them; there were no damages, and it arrived so fast that that was the most complimenting feedback that I was reading in the comments and because of these compliments and good feedback from them, I decided to buy. Because it's very affordable, good at its price, and the design is what I am looking for.
Anyway, I ordered this yesterday, and it arrived today. My gosh! It arrived so fast even if the weather in our area is not good because of the non-stop rainfall. I was so impressed with the shop and the delivery courier's good service to their customers.
UNBOXING TIME
As you can see in the image above, the box is still in good condition. Though it's raining outside, the box is not wet, just the plastic parcel. I really love how the seller wrapped it well and made sure that my item would arrive safe.
Now, let's see what's inside the box.
Oh, it's nice that there's a bubble wrapped around each important part. Which is nice because sometimes some things that we buy online don't have this, causing the item to break and not be in good condition when we receive them.
And there's no missing part.
TIME TO ASSEMBLE
What disappoints me is that there is no paper with instructions on how to assemble. So I don't have a choice but to look at the image in the box to see what it looks like.
I started it with the stand. I put the long stick in a small hole to make it stand. This is just the most easiest part you know.
Then, I also placed on top of the stick the thing that will balance where the cell phone holder will be attached.
Next, I attached the handle of the cell phone. There are two small circles on each side (right and left) where I put the two cell phone holders. My brain lagged a little bit on this part because I don't know how to put it right because I was careful and I'm afraid that I might break it. But I'm glad that after seconds of thinking about how to put it, it turned out well and I put it in the right order.
And lastly, I attached the head or ring light to the top. I'm still careful putting it in, and I might break or take out the light. I'm having a hard time because I don't know where to hold it while attaching it because I can't hold it on the lighted part, and I might break it if I press it suddenly, but I'm glad because I didn't break it and I put it well.
I really liked this small ring light because it's just the same as what I bought before. There are three different light choices when you switch it on.
And it also has a small remote where you can also increase and decrease the light's color, switch the color of the light, and switch it on and off.
And it's also a USB type and not rechargable, which is good because you can just plug it in using your phone's adaptor and use it anytime.
TEST
Now let's try to see if it can really hold two phones like it advertises. I borrow my grandma's mobile phone so that I can put it on the other side.
Oh wow! I was impressed because it can actually hold two mobile phones despite its small size. To be honest, at first I was hesitant to try it because our cell phones might fall, but it turned out to be durable.
CONCLUSION:
Well, the price of this ring light is only Php 172.00 ($3.03). I bought it with a free shipping voucher, and I didn't spend a lot of money. Since this is just a small size, it's good for its price. I'm not at a loss because the item is nice and cheap.
I really only chose this size and design because the small one is better; I can put it on my vanity table, and when I buy a big one, it is always messy on the side. I have pets like dogs and cats, so they might run into it and damage it.
Now, I'm so happy because I found a good-quality and affordable ring light that I can use for promoting products on my TikTok shop and use when I do a makeup tutorial blog here on Hive because I love putting makeup on, you know?
