Sedentary work, coffee trips, bathroom breaks unending. Small talk, absurd politic, looking longingly at accidents on the freeway. Illusions of choice sold on the daily. Reality splits and new digital societies emerge to influence our daily lives. Our brains become connected with social media networks.
P̴i̵n̷g̴P̷i̸n̷g̸P̶i̶n̶g̸P̸i̷n̵g̴P̵i̶n̷g̷P̷i̵n̴g̵P̶i̸n̵g̶P̷i̶n̷g̸
A stream of input strikes the brain as it surfs social media. Warning! Prolonged exposure to dominant personal brands trigger increases of negative self-evaluations. We bait for validation and become addicted to positive feedback loops. While our network has expanded, our empathy has not been able to keep up.
Human nature extends into a digital realm. We adulterate it with our own primal human nature. It responds in kind. From our reflections of it's surface we see communication as domination. Stories as meta-warfare. Our chairs make us uncomfortable. Eyes glaze over from luminescent displays. Extended sitting punctuated only by frustrated pacing.
Everything can be commodified. Every rebellious act can be assimilated into the system without fear of dissonance, worse yet, each opposition is harmoniously rejoined into our status quo.
American arteries filled with fast food capitalism. Human appetite dissected for fiduciary responsibilities. This knowledge weaponized against us. Their target the Anatomy of Human Vulnerability. The pleasure of eating can become an aspect of our identity. Our collective health is not free of booms and busts.
All the while we are tricked into eating out of the trashcan of ideology. The essence of our humanity is an asset to the dominance hierarchy. We are largely developed by it and benefit from it.
Waves within a pattern.
Every three years America steps into a new age of gun massacres. An hour long interview with the family and friends of the killer is the new norm. They play key roles in the American soap opera. It adds its drama to the story of our lives because it is the setting we raise our families in. The undercurrent of fear becomes a nationwide anxiety. How much of this perspective is the dominant ideology in itself?
The expansive negative peers back at us. Minds filled with apathetic possibility.

I am Andrew Schumacher. Minnesota resident who practices glitch art. I am a member of Glitch Artist Collaborative. One voice within an anarchistic movement dedicated to reinterpret aesthetics. We meditate on the qualia generated between the human and digital experience. We express ourselves both with and through technology. Each cathode tube is whispered into existing. This digital library functions as a forum for discourse as well, unfettered from corporate control. Our voices echo within its halls, fostering a new means for our society to process humanity's collective knowledge. We will cultivate this historic space and author it within this new blockchain library. This is an exciting experiment to bring us into the future of media!
