Splinterlands: Sneak Them All Out

Intro

Thirteen monsters in Splinterlands posses the SNEAK ability. Out of thirteen, eight SNEAK monsters have melee attack, three have magic attack and only two have ranged attack.

Placement

Since most of the SNEAK monsters are low on health so they are better suited in the middle of the team protected from enemy SNEAK, SNIPE and BLAST damage.

Defense

Because of diversity of SNEAK attack types, 100% defense is not always guarantied. Since most of the SNEAK monsters are melee attack based so defense should be mounted keeping melee SNEAK attack in mind. There are various defense strategies/ways that can be employed as per battle rules and mana limitation.

Using speed, DODGE and BLIND abilities can prove effective in evading SNEAK attacks.

Also Shield from summoners or PROTECT ability can provide cushion against melee SNEAK attacks.

Using monster with HEAL and SHIELD abilities is also a good option as they can effectively soak up the SNEAK damage .e.g. CORNEALUS, FLESH GOLEM or WATER ELEMENTAL etc.

Using monsters with THORNS and RETALIATE ability is an even better strategy as it provides counter offensive.

They say offence is the best defense. Since most SNEAK monsters are low on health so using Opportunity monsters to take out SNEAK monsters can be a good strategy.

Monsters with MAGIC REFLECT and RETURN FIRE abilities can be used to counter Magic and Ranged SNEAK attacks respectively, but are rarely used.

Some best defenders against SNEAK attacks are SPINEBACK TURTLE, FURIOUS CHICKEN, PHANTOM OF THE ABYSS, FAILED SUMMONER, JAVELIN THROWER, SPIRIT OF THE FOREST, CRYSTAL WEREWOLF, ENCHANTED DEFENDER, STONESPLITTER ORC, UNDEAD MINOTAUR, GELATINOUS CUBE, CORNEALUS and WAR CHAANG etc.

My Favorite SNEAK Monster

When it comes to SNEAK attack, SILVERSHIELD ASSASSIN is my favorite. It has decent health, attack speed and shield plus also equipped with DOUBLE STRIKE and POISON abilities. It can easily take out heavily SNEAK protected teams.

Battle Using SNEAK Ability

This was a 22 mana battle with standard battle rules.

+1 shield from TYRUS PALADIUM can prove quite handy, especially in low mana battles.

SILVERSHIELD PALADIN

Upfront came the tank, SILVERSHIELD PALADIN. A nice handy tank in low mana battles. I need to upgrade it have Magic Reflect ability.
