For this weeks battle challenge, we got another awesome chaos epic monster, DAX PARAGON. DAX PARAGON is an epic life splinter magic attack monster.

Here is DAX PARAGON's amazing lore:

Dax knew nothing but a life of luxury since the time he was born. Growing up in a mansion overflowing with the finest of items, his wealthy parents were business and landowners that dominated the competition in the city of Lyveria. Their business was called Paragon Enterprises. An only child, Dax was often left to his own devices as his parents ran their enterprise. Often it felt like the entire mansion was his to do with as he pleased.

When he became old enough, Dax was given his large inheritance to begin his own sect of his family's business, which he called Dax's Consultations. He would be called upon by the wealthy, the greedy, and the powerful to consult for them. He would analyze their business practices, their competition, and provide advice. He became renowned for his success, and was thought of as the “secret ingredient” to any tycoon's business. And because of this, Dax soon became immersed in a world of spoils. He lived a fast life of luxury, of gold, and of stabbing anyone in the back that tried to cross him. Often literally.

When the Chaos Legion turned their eye on Dax, he looked right back and was intrigued. He saw new power that he hadn't yet known. He communicated with their intermediaries until the day the Chaos Legion invaded the Splinterlands. Dax was then graced with an audience before Silus of the Rift himself. During this conversation, Dax proved himself well-informed, cunning, and ambitious. He was given the opportunity to be an advisor for the most powerful person he'd ever come across. Dax now serves closely at Silus' side, advising him on strategies to control the Splinterlands.

Physical attributes of DAX PARAGON does justify its low mana cost of 2. It have nominal magic attack of 1 at level 1 which reaches 2 at maxed level. But that's not the end of the party, as real fun comes with Amplify ability starting from level 2. Affliction ability also comes at level 5. It starts with 3 health, reaching 5 at maxed level. Speed remains constant at 2 throughout. It doesn't have no shield what's so ever.

Needless to say abilities make DAX PARAGON a worthy epic monster.

`Cost Analysis`

Currently there are 32,507 normal foil and 2,298 gold foil DAX PARAGONs in circulation, costing a minimum of 0.61$/BCX and 6.95$/BCX respectively.

Looking at its market price it is indeed one of the under rated epic monster.

`Favored/Unfavored Battle Rules`

DAX PARAGON works well is almost all kind of battle rule sets especially when Magic Reflect or Return Fire is intended to be employed. Still, it works best in Wands Out, Fire & Regret and Going the Distance rulesets.

`Vulnerability and Disadvantage`

DAX PARAGON vulnerability is its low health. So it is susceptible to Opportunity and Magic Reflect damage.

`Placement`

DAX PARAGON is best suited in middle ranks where it is well protected from Sneak, Snipe and Blast damages.

`Complementing Summoners and Abilities`

DAX PARAGON can be complemented decently by summoners like ILTHAIN, GRANDMASTER RATHE and CHANSEUS THE GREAT.

It can be complemented decently by abilities like Protect, Strengthen, Triage, Taunt, Resurrect, Swiftness and Slow.

`Defense`

Best defend against DAX PARAGON is killing it using either opportunity attack or by Amplify powered Magic Reflect.

`MY BATTLE USING DAX PARAGON`

This was a 26 mana battle with two battle rules; Wands Out and Silenced Summoners. Magic. Fire, Earth and Life splinters were only allowed splinters.

`MY LINEUP`

`ILTHAIN`

Since silenced summoner ruleset was in effect, so the only choice I needed to makes was choose a splinter and go with lowest mana summoner available. I decided to go with life splinter and choose to play with ILTHAIN, as I had this guy maxed.

`PRISMATIC ENERGY`

Up front I used neutral reward epic PRISMATIC ENERGY as tank. PRISMATIC ENERGY's Magic Reflect and Void makes it a prefect tank for Wands Out ruleset.

`DAX PARAGON`

On one down I used star of our show, DAX PARAGON. DAX PARAGON's Amplify really complements the Magic Reflect tank really well. I certainly plan on maxing it out in future.

`ELVEN MYSTIC`

On third position, I placed ELVEN MYSTIC to keep enemy magic attack in check. ELVEN MYSTIC's Silence ability is always welcome in Wands Out ruleset.

`LIGHT ELEMENTAL`

Next comes yet another epic, LIGHT ELEMENTAL. LIGHT ELEMENTAL was placed to act as an attacking option..

`DOCTOR BLIGHT`

On the last position, I used my favorite legendary, DOCTOR BLIGHT. DOCTOR BLIGHT's Affliction, Camouflage, Scavenger and Poison abilities makes it a real asset in all kind of rulesets.
