A strong response to concerns over blockchain immutability given the current split between Ethereum and Ethereum Classic Blockchains.
"I believe that the blockchain will naturally get more and more "immutable" over time, and this is simply a property of increasing hardness of social consensus as the community grows, regardless of the weights that each of us attach to any particular principles at any particular point in time. However, while the immutability is not yet there as we have the ability to coordinate enough to make forks, and so since we have this admittedly temporary ability to save $40-50m from the hands of a hacker it's morally wrong to just throw it away."
