Public schools, libraries and all tax-funded services should use the same open source software suite that should be made available for all residents for free.

Windows, especially the releases after Vista are probably the worst enemies of privacy. Just look how it installs Skype and OneDrive, log you on them with your Microsoft account and enable data sync by default. Then there is the app store which should compete with Google Play but bugs almost on every time you try to install or buy something.

It is true that Android with Google Play also do mine more data than necessary but at least their services work. Windows is just a data miner and a marketing tool for MS Office which is not really any better for homes than many other way more affordable options on the market.
