was that sale! sale! sale! done on purpose?

The sellers aren't real souvenir traders but local peasants raising seasonal money from travelers. I believe, they learned from each other that having signs "Sale!!! Sale!!!" is a magic that can help sell... So almost every shop has such a sign. Most shops are just tables, covered with clean tablecloths, exposing cheap stuff like tiny bags and hats....

So refreshing captures, it must be raining alot at the moment?

It's definitely not dry season, but sunny days are regular (as well as mad downpours, normally at night). So you are right, everything so emeraldly green for a reason - regular rains wash trees from (limited) dust and prevent leaves from getting pale from dehydration.
