I'm not entirely sure how this could have happened, but it did. This was a long, winding, sometimes arduous road to get to this point, and there were times I honestly wasn't sure if it would ever arrive. But it has.
The graduation ceremony was the best they could have made it. Families signed up for times in 30 minute increments to drive through the school parking lot and, one by one, pull up in front of the school so the graduate could get out to receive their diploma. The teachers were all there, with balloons, noise makers, and otherwise doing the best they could to make the ceremony as positive as they could. It was nice.
I was driving, of course, so couldn't get a good picture. At the ceremony I had to take the picture through the windshield. I wasn't impressed with the result. There were professional photographers there, however, and I'm sure they got something better than I did.
It's #sepiasaturday today and, being that we'll look back on this day rather fondly, I felt it appropriate to decorate these images with some fine sepia overtones.
