Dogs make everything better. And though I am a dog person through and through, I have been learning lately that cats can be pretty awesome too! A couple years ago we took in a kitten from a local SPCA, who proceeded to get really, really sick. Twice. Both times I nursed her back from the brink of death by hand feeding her, force feeding her medicine, and keeping her clean. In her own way I do believe she knows that I helped her, and she truly appreciates life.

I'm glad you have your dog to keep you company on those long walks. Everyone needs a buddy!
