In a post just a few weeks ago, I actually went on a long tirade about just what "freedom" is and might be, too. It's a very human construct, really. We only have the concept of "freedom" because we live in a society that requires us to have rules and laws which limit our "freedom." And, I truly believe, the people that carry on most about "decentralization" don't really know what they're looking for.
I'm jaded.
People rant and rave about freedoms without even knowing what it is or what they want to do with it. I want to be free to... to do what, really? It's a jarring question most people struggle to answer.
And yes, at some point we'll become kept creatures that AI takes care of, just like we take care of our dogs and cats today. Either that or we will evolve into AI ourselves.
