Strange how the world works:
In a surprise development, we had to place my mom in a professional care home for a few weeks, to cure out a bacterial infection prior to an operation. Sad as this was, it freed us up for 10 days to take a whirlwind vacation, handing the visitation duties over to my brother.
We were headed down to Tuscany, but in Milano I decided to stay closer to home, just in case. So instead of going further South, we took a "left turn" and headed to Venice, Trieste, and Slovenia. Then home via Hungary and Austria. We must have been in Slovenia at the same time and could have met up after all!
All through Switzerland, I was mulling over the idea to head for Terracina anyway and surprise you. Even had my parking in Via Posterula picked out already, to make sure I could walk the distance to your studio. It just didn't seem right this time, and I let it go. As I see now, we would have missed you there...
So, better luck next time!
Un abbraccio karmico - F
P.S. OF COURSE I love the painting!
