Parrots are the most beautiful birds and I always found them fascinating due to their ability to repeat what they hear or imitate it. There's so many different types of parrots. They come in all different and beautiful colors! I was recently at a friend's home and they have two lovely parrots. I was so amused at when they call out their owners names. I don't really have the time to take on the responsibility of having a pet but if I did, I would definitely have a parrot. I will be sharing some fun and interesting facts about parrots below:

There are over 370 different species of parrots! That's a huge amount, I can't imagine learning about every single one of them but I'm sure that would be really exciting.
Parrots are known to be the most intelligent birds. Seeing that they can imitate what they hear, I would definitely agree that parrots are smart birds.
Some parrots are known to live up to 80 years, which I think is great because most animals don't have such long lifespans.
New Zealand is home to the kakapo, kea and kaka parrots which happen to be very unique.
Most parrots usually live in tropical areas.
Parrots taste with the tip of their beaks.
