It's just a few days before the matric students will be writing their final exams. I will be sharing some tips on how to work on increasing memory and concentration. If you are writing exams, have a look at this post or even if you simply want to improve your memory and concentration regardless to whether you're a student or not. One of the main aspects to improving your memory and concentration is to improve your diet. Your eating habit play a big role in this. Stay away from junky foods, especially sugar because a side from being unhealthy, it makes you lazy which makes it difficult to concentrate.
Maintain a healthy diet. Try eating light and healthy meals. It's okay to have an unhealthy snack as a reward for when you have just managed to study something difficult. I used to do that when I was in school because it can be seen as a motivation to continue studying. But try to stay away from junk food and eat an overall healthy diet. Here are some foods to add to your diet which are known to help with memory and concentration:
The above foods are known as brain foods because they help us with memory and concentration. I would suggest drinking lots of water and having nuts as a snack as you study. Especially almonds, they are the most well know for improving memory. So basically, eat healthy and include the above items in your diet where you can. Stay away from sugar drinks, junk food and unhealthy foods.
Another way to improve memory and concentration is to exercise. Exercise is known to destress and simulate the mind. After exercising, you won't feel lazy and it will help you to concentrate and remember things better. Plan ahead and make sure to have everything in order to avoid extra stress. Take breaks between studying. Meditate and make sure to avoid stress. When you stress, you make it worst. So just relax and study to the best of your ability, exercise, eat healthy and you won't go wrong.
I hope these tips were helpful. Good luck with exams for those who are writing.
