The developments that are happening in the crypto space is showing that crypto and blockchain technology has come to stay. Truly, after the fights that some countries are wedging against crypto, they would be left with just one option in the near future, and that is to support it.
I am keenly awaiting the time when crypto and blockchain technology shall be taught in schools. While we wait for that time, I think the early adopters owe their family and friends to share the knowledge about crypto and help them integrate.
As a parent owning crypto, it may be difficult for your children to access it in an eventuality is they are not schooled in the know how a we do with other aspect of finances. This therefore raises the question of the right age to teach kids about Finance and by extension cryptocurrency.
Indeed, getting your kids literate about crypto won't actually do any harm but I think it is to your greatest advantage is the training comes from you as a parent, hence, would instil responsibility on the child.

Most of us in crypto would have embraced the technology in our late 20s and 30s and 40s. However, the present level of technology awareness has taught in school makes the 5 year old to be able to operate a smart phone.
