Warning first, this game has one of the most brutal learning curves ever.
Toribash is a 3D fighting game but turn based. Each turn you you get to manipulate all the joints of your fighter to lock, contract, expand or relax. When happy you end your turn and your actions will occur for the next time slice. You can manipulate different parts of the torso, shoulders, elbow etc etc etc.
This is as complex as it sounds, you actually have to think about how a body moves and pull movement apart into its component parts, even how the momentum flows.
Here is a good talk about joint manipulation.
Initially it will even be hard to even hit the training dummy in the tutorial and you will lose to an immobile dummy. You lose if any parts of the body touches the ground, apart from hands and feet. It is worth watching some vids about beginner moves but you will soon get the hand of it.
Online fights are run as a lobby queue where the winner stays on. When you win the next player enters and the next fight starts. There are some seriously skilled players out there but rankings keep you mostly against similar skill levels.
This is what it looks like played at the highest level. With someone talking throw the moves.
There are also an insane amount of mods for this game including parkour. The following is a replay at realtime speed but the people involved had to manipulate all the joints turn by turn to do this. Insane skill levels required.
Toribash is free on steem
Have some fun and rip some heads off :)
