The banknote detail got me first, a mosque on a 10,000 manat note that would be worth over two thousand pounds now. Imagine buying crisps with that and waiting for change. The history behind it is heavy though, 14,500 people at Gökdepe is a brutal number to stand next to. And I laughed at the chairs point, an hour of prayer with nowhere to sit does seem like an oversight. Was the inside as plain as it sounds, or did the cold open space grow on you?
