Cajon is a six-sided box-shaped percussion instrument played by tapping its sides with hands, fingers, or various other tools such as sticks or brushes (drums). Cajon are generally made of plywood with a thickness between 1.3 to 1.9 cm on five sides and a thinner board on the sixth side that serves as the main plane to be punched or hit. This instrument began to grow widely in the late 18th century among African slaves in Peru.
The shape is like a speaker box, a six-sided wooden box on the front as a sound producer in which a bass guitar snare is given to produce a hithat-like sound, a part of the air outlet from the sound resonance room.
