Gautápe is a picturesque little town that is perhaps best known for its iconic facades. The most interesting thing to do in this town, is walking the coplestone streets admiring the colorful houses. They are painted in every known color and adorned with fresco-like bas-reliefs, depicting animals, plants, humans and local culture. These artworks are called «zócalos» and are placed on the lover part of the buildings. Often the motifs will tell something about the person / persons living in the house.

The idea was to discover new corners and enjoy the best the park has to offer.

Today, it is my pleasure to invite you to discover, study and learn about the diverse collections of Cuban flora and fauna. You will encounter a spectacular treasure of Caribbean vertebrates, invertebrates, and mammals, along with a brief museographic tour emphasizing the need to preserve our natural riches—all at the National Museum of Natural History of Cuba.
