Hello everyone! This is @ybanezkim26 and I'll present today's edition of Travel Digest. In our featured posts, we have a famous fountain in Rome, Italy, the village of Stoos, Switzerland, and a lake of the same name in Misurina, Italy. Enjoy and keep on pinning your travel posts to the map!
I wish everyone in this Hive travel community a happy start to the week! Today I want to mark a very special place on the map, one I honestly never imagined I'd see, and whose importance and grandeur I only truly understood when I stood before such majesty... I had seen this place in many movies and in several Instagram photos, and yet it wasn't my first destination when we visited Rome, but my wife longed to visit the Trevi Fountain, just as much as I wanted to see the Colosseum, and in fact, we visited both places on the same day.

We stay in the cabin at altitude 830 m above sea level near the Schwyz, lovely small town that gave Switzerland its name. One of my early trips here was to Stoos while using funicular railway. The Stoos village is situated at 1300 m above sea level and the population is around 100 inhabitants. The place is small ski resort with some chairlifts and cable car to Fronalpstock (1921 m).

Lake Misurina is a lake located at an altitude of 1,754 meters above sea level. It is located southwest of the Tre Cime Natural Park, in southeastern part of the Dolomites, in the commune of Auronzo di Cadore in province of Beluno and is the largest lake in this commune. There are numerous hotels and restaurants around the lake. A walking trail, "Vista sul Lago di Misurina dal sentiero escursionistico," runs along its eastern shore. A visit to the lake can be combined with hiking around Tre Cime di Lavaredo, as was the case during my visit. The SS48 national road runs alongside the lake, connecting with the SS48 national road from Cortina d'Ampezzo.
