Hello everyone! This is @ybanezkim26 and I'll present today's edition of Travel Digest. In our featured posts, we have a botanical garden in Buenos Aires, Argentina, a valley in Verzasca, Switzerland, and a comune in Sicily, Italy. Enjoy and keep on pinning your travel posts to the map!
Nearly two-thirds of the garden is covered with vegetation from all over the world. Ginkgo, eucalyptus, oak, elm, fern, palm, bamboo, araucaria, rubber, sequoia, and many other species from all five continents coexist in the garden with sunflowers, butterflies, purple, pink, red, and blue flowers, a greenhouse, and even a xerophytic garden... It is truly a representation of the mythical Eden, where we can sit in the shade of trees from all over the world or admire the colors and scents of flowers from diverse origins.

My journey began on a crisp morning, with the air still cool from the night’s mountain winds. The narrow road that wound up from Locarno followed the Verzasca River almost like a ribbon, twisting and curling through the green slopes. Every few kilometers, a small hamlet appeared — clusters of granite houses with slate roofs, their stone walls silvered by age. The valley narrowed as I climbed higher, the river cutting through smooth, layered rocks that glowed a deep jade beneath the surface.

As you can imagine, Taormina is quite a touristy hotspot, especially since the second season of HBO's The White Lotus. Nope, I haven’t seen a single episode. I hadn’t even known about the show before coming there. The main street (Corso Umberto I, naturally!) was rather crowded even during our off-season visit. Yet there’s a magic trick: Simply delve into one of the picturesque side streets, and you’ll have it all to yourself. Or, even better, take the Via Crucis up to the Madonna della Rocca church like we did. Definitely worth climbing this rocky stairway to (almost) heaven. And the church up there? Oh, it makes one wonder!
