Hello dear travel lovers. During my visit to Belgium, besides Bruges I also visited Ghent. I think this is the best city to start discovering Belgium because it was this city that made me fall in love with the country. The beauty of the central streets of Ghent is in no way inferior to Belgium's favorite, Bruges. The only difference is that there are fewer tourists here, prices are more reasonable and most importantly the city feels really alive. Every Friday locals gather at the main market square. They spend the day cycling around the city. In the evening they come to the riverside and enjoy the view.
It was around 9:00 PM when our stomachs started complaining so we decided to go grab something to eat at Saint Nikitas, a village located just a 5-minutes drive from Pefkoulia beach! We returned to our tent to get ready for a night out, and the view was breathtaking!
The logistics of Grand Canyon is easy due to free shuttle buses. We parked at the Visitors Center and took the orange line to South Kaibab Trailhead. We descended 1 kilometer inside the Grand Canyon, to the Tipoff point. Then we hiked the Tonto trail to Havasupai Gardens. Bright Angel trail took as back to the rim. Spoiler alert - one of us continued on the South Kaibab trail all the way to the bottom (1.5km inside the Grand Canyon!) and returned the same way.
