've never been on holiday to a colder destination than my own home and had to pay for the privilege, but I was so glad that I did.
Chamonix itself was beautiful, it's at the base of the highest mountain in the Alps Mont Blanc. Our accommodation was a beautiful old wooden Chalet, which was run by an excellent team was a short tram ride into town and overlooked Mont Blanc.
The route to Chamonix itself was free from our accommodation, and other views were wonderful. Filled with Chalet Homes and what felt like a lovely community despite its size and the transient nature of the tourists and the working community.

Like many of you, I am also a nature lover. Yes, I can travel to cities and enjoy the urban environment, buildings, bridges, streets, cafes, all are places that I like and I have met special places in every city I've been to, but I feel that more than the metropolis, what I like most is nature. A forest, a beach, a desert, the less inhabited and less built the better, are usually my favorite places.

That's why I was lucky to have been born in Venezuela, a country with a great biodiversity, different climates, environments, places, soils, fauna and flora throughout its territory; and then it was also lucky to have come to live in Chile, another country with a great biodiversity.

Last weekend we had a guest from abroad, so we thought we'd do a little sightseeing, so we could show our guest a bit of our beautiful country. And the fun thing about showing tourists around in your own country is that you often visit places you haven't visited yourself before 馃榾
As it was quite hot last Sunday, we decided to go and rent some bicycles somewhere. Our destination was the towns along the 'Ijsselmeer'; Edam, Volendam and Monnickendam.
Edam, Volendam, and Monnickendam are three historic towns in Northhern part of the Netherlands, not far from Amsterdam. They are very close to eachother, so quite similar, but they all have their own character. They have traditions in cheese, fishing, trading.
