My friend from the fence - [Photostory]

Good day guys!

Today I introduce you my friend from the fence. Well.. He technically doesn't know me yet, but he might in the future ;)
 
It all happened with quite a funny coincident - A few weeks back I went to Bangkok to walk around the Hua Lamphong Railways Station to take some pictures from people around and inside of the hall.
 
Maybe some of you remember the following image which I've posted around 2 weeks ago:
 

 
I saw this very interesting looking person sitting on a bench on the train station which is outside of the railway hall. At this time I was pretty sure that he was waiting for his bus.
 
But.. He was not as I know now. When I went back to the Station last week I saw him again sitting on the exact same position as in the week before. I was surprised but also kind of happy seeing him again. With street photography it happens rarely to see the people again especially in big cities like Bangkok.
 

 
I was standing behind the fence for quite a long time. I was just watching him and somehow I was really curious on who this man is. He did not do much except sitting on this bench and looking around watching the things happening around him.
 
Unfortunately my Thai is not good enough yet to start a full conversation with Thai people. But even if, I don't know if I would have been to shy to sit beside him and have a chat. Even I really wanted to..
 



 
I'm thinking to print maybe 2 of his pictures and write something like "Have a good day" on the back. Would that be weird? Or just a nice gesture as he was my model for some photos? I'm still curious.
 
But this man had an massive impact for an idea I've created because of him. Some of my followers might already know that I love to take pictures of people and also to have conversations with people from every nationality and culture.
 
I want to start an project called "People of Thailand" where I walk around Bangkok to find interesting people on the streets and maybe have a small chat with them and let them tell me their story or just talking about things about their life.
 
It would be perfect to make some short movies about different people in some kind of "documentary" style videos. I'm sure there are a lot of people outside who have any kind of message to tell and I could provide some kind of platform for them. I don't know if that will work but I definitely will give it a try.
 

I will need a Thai person for this project, ideally from Bangkok. That will be my task for the next weeks to make a plan about this project. And maybe, just maybe - We will find out one day who the "Man behind the fence" is :))
