It doesn't - a powerup is only seen as a liquid Hive -> HP action. There's a secondary badge you can get though for setting post rewards to 100% HP for a month. I forget what the badge is, however.

hahah yeah they're so big they're awkward to shuffle so my strategy was basically to just drop the entire lot of them on the floor and swoosh em around and then pick em up lol
