Sometimes it sounds difficult but it should be known that our past sometime draws us back, stop us from achieving and seeing the opportunities ahead...

I'd like to agree with this but not totally. Leaving your past is not as easy as it sounds, it keeps showing, popping up one way or the other.
I saw a quote somewhere that "your past determines your future". The path you walked on in the past should be the path leading to your future.

The past always has a way of reflecting in the present and so leaving it behind is not a great idea rather you should try to mend your ways, straighten your curves and face the truth.
