the things
objects
throughout the world
defining lives
and cultures,
marking placement
in the lines of history
they seem
so important
in the moment,
and centuries beyond looking back,
yet for most of
existence, for
most all of time,
they mean nothing
and hold no
interest
no one
looking, remembering
desiring their touch
but the minds
the minds
filled with
the pure power
of conscious thought
the wonder
and imagination
freeing itself
from the bounds
of the physical,
it stretches out
its hand to infinity.
