beyond the walls
the veil that
keeps us
within
and everything else
whatever it is
out there
the forces
beyond
are but myths
at this point
once of us
but long ago
they left,
and those who remained
in fear,
built up
that which
is claimed
to protect
but perhaps
shields them
from us
so now
we will climb out
climb over
and find out
whatever it is
that exists beyond
