it is there
awaiting us
always one step away
a single moment
before the present becomes the past
and we move
into the future
assisting it,
bringing it
to us, bending
the rules,
and finding ourselves
further, if only a few seconds,
but there
in that moment
time has been traversed
harnessing
the great power
the wondrous strength
but also
the frightening potential
for the end
the end of all things
