Humans seem to look for the magical bullet, the mystical elixir, that will solve all of the problems effortlessly.

One of the biggest things, especially in the woo woo crowd is 'Free Energy Device'.
It is the holy grail that will solve all of our energy problems.
The aliens, or the illuminati, or some hidden group of the dark military, or some ancient text from Tibet will reveal how to build said free energy device, and the world will be saved.

The problem is, this is not how the universe works.
Humans are left to find their own way.
