One of my most favorite western TV series
A great satire show
Basically about Sterling Archer and his job as world's best agent in ISIS, sponsored by CIA, and also the KGB sometimes. Just living his everyday life with crazy adventures and a traumatic mother as boss.
Both literally fuck around everywhere and as long as everything works and democracy is saved - all is good and works :)
I've thought a lot about it.
It is basically how everyone wants to be - just live the flow, enjoy the chaotic and crazy ride, without spending a lot of thoughts, which is literally shown very obviously with often very bad effects and consequences of these un- and successful interventions.
Which brings me to the next thought: it is a big satire about the relativistic, opportunistic modern western lifestyle - which is also why everyone wants to live like that (and why I probably like this comic so much next to very old eastern animes) - but aimed as humoristic criticism.
And then the last thought:
Is there anything left to do but at least try?
So to have the great relativistic fun-adventure job as a CIA drone - or what?
What would be the great alternative?
Sell one's ass to
profit being a drone
and compensate by maximizing fun
?
Opportunism
?
Probably also only works if one truly is in this fun-compensation-flow, with a lot of money and whores..
or else one would probably think and reflect about it anyway.
As a human being with responsibility about his actions.
And could not do the great adventure agent job anymore..
