GoT has not good excuse for this because they were well aware that the thing had to end but just mucked it up anyway.


GoT will always be a classic (and terrible) case of the pursuit of money at all costs. What they did was a complete lack of respect for the writer and the fans. This TV series will always be remembered as a revolutionary project, but a terrible ending that could have been totally avoided.

LOST went on for far too long and only threw in the towel once it was no longer making tons of money.


To this day, I really can't believe how this was squandered over the years. A classic case of how to completely ruin a project.

Breaking Bad will always be remembered as a some kind of model that every successful TV series should follow.
