There are movies so bad that they end up being good.
That's ironically true.
No one holds the absolute truth when it comes to determining if something is truly bad...
Try to tell them to the "expert critics", haha! It’s ridiculous how they act like they have a monopoly on the truth.
Even so, as you rightly say, it is possible to appreciate and learn good things even from bad movies.
Perhaps, only those who truly appreciate cinema (going beyond merely liking it) can understand something like that.
... low-budget productions or B-movies.
They're surely are my favorite bad kind of movies.
On the other hand, there are those movies with impeccable production values, huge budgets, and star-studded casts, yet whose message or story failed to connect with me, leaving a negative impression. Even though most people might consider them excellent, I found them mediocre because they didn't convey anything to me or stir any emotion.
This most likely happens to everyone. Without a real connection to the project (on the part of the audience), it doesn't matter how well-produced, well-directed or well-acted it is... It will certainly fail.
