These were some of the images we took during the 05/20/12 solar eclipse.
The area we were in not only allowed us to get a great view of the setting eclipse, but we also chose a place that had decent scenery in general.
The sky that presented itself that day was awesome as well. We were actually on our way to a restaurant to eat, and we knew about the eclipse, but the clouds made it seem as though we were going to miss it completely. We almost didn't even go. On our way to the restaurant, however, I spotted a clearing in the sky and could tell that it was going to show us the eclipse if we hung around long enough.
The cloud shots were taken facing east as they were being lit by the dimmed, eclipsed sun.
