The transition is not happening between DSLR and mobile devices. It's happening from DSLR to Mirrorless. There are physical limitations to what can be done with such small glass as you'd find in mobile devices, which is why larger lenses will generally always have some sort of market demand. There's a look you get with them that you simply can't get with button-sized lenses.
