What comes to your mind when I mention minimal and maximal jewelries?
Imagine this.

TEAM MAXIMAL:
The outfit: A fitted gown paired with heels or scandal and a purse.
Event: Birthday dinner.
Jewelry: a Cuban or a three piece dropping necklace. Hoops for earrings and an additional stud ones. Three set of bracelet on one hand and a fancy wrist watch on the other.
Rings, Anklet and to top it off a blingy headband.

TEAM MINIMAL:
Outfit: Also a fitted gown paired with heels or scandals and a purse.
Event: Birthday dinner
Jewelry; one bracelet on one hand and a fancy wrist watch on the other. Usually one or two pair of knuckle rings and stud earrings one on each ear.

Growing up, my mom was my first ever fashion icon. She owned lots of jewelries of different precious metals.

Regardless, she was minimal with it.
An example, She would wear a butterfly gown then pair it with a gold bracelet, a sophisticated gold neckpiece with a matching pair of earrings.
Very minimal yet very unique.

It’s only fair to say I was influenced by her.
No matter the event, my jewelry style is almost always the same.
A bracelet, a neckpiece, a pair of stud earrings and a wrist watch.
Sometimes I substitute, either I go with a bracelet or I go with a wristwatch. Other times I go with both.
Not that I dislike other kinds of jewelry, I just always try to be as minimal as possible. Why? Habit.

Like I mentioned earlier, asides from the event or outfit your style of jewelry depends on, your personality also plays a role.

I’ve seen a girl that pulled off maximal Jewelry at its finest. She had on every kind of jewelry you can think of and she absolutely slayed it.
I did a little background check and she is definitely team maximal.
Also she is a typical extrovert and lives on Instagram lifestyle.
Not to imply judgement but in this case, her personality matches her style of Jewelry.

Using myself as an example. I am quite the opposite.
I am kind of an introvert, I live a very simple lifestyle and I prefer the minimal style of jewelry.

Do you now see what I meant by your personality playing a role?

What is your personality and does it match your style of jewelry?
Are you team minimal or maximal?
I would love to hear your insight.

In the spirit of minimalism, I tried to keep this article as minimal as possible. Hopefully it’s also comprehensible to readers.

Thanks for reading. I’m late but happy new month! 💗
