For the past 3 days, the giveaways were paused due to the account's bandwidth being depleted. Giveaways will resume like normal today, except for a few changes.
Percentage removal
First of all, it feels a bit scummy to only give 90% of the giveaway post's SBD out, so all giveaways from today will distribute 100% of the SBD instead!
Posting frequency changed
Second of all, the frequency that giveaways will be posted will decrease. It used to be posted every 3 hours, but not only did this cause issues with bandwidth when Steemit was under a lot of traffic, it felt very spammy and took up a lot of space in your feed and in the giveaway tag. So after today, giveaways will only be posted every 12 hours.
First day upvoter rule changed
And lastly, first day upvoters will no longer be given more. This punishes users who did not see the giveaway until the day after it was posted and is quite contrary to 'giving to the minnows'. So no more shall this rule be enforced!
