I play the splinterlands game every day and play the daily quest every day. Sometimes I write a post about a daily quest. Today I will not talk about it. Today I will share my battle with CRYPT BEETLE, which is the battle challenge of this week. This is my first challenge post of this week.

- Mana Cost: 19 points
- Available Element: All Elements. (Water, Earth, Life, Death, & Dragon)
Selecting battle cards
For SUMMONER: THADDIUS BROOD card
- The THADDIUS BROOD card costs 4 points of mana this card can decrease enemy -1 Magic point and -1 live point.
- When I play with a death unit, I prefer to reduce the magic and lives point than to reduce the enemy ranged attack. And in this battle I think the enemy will use earth unit. That's why I chose the THADDIUS BROOD summoner card.
For the first Position Tank: CURSED WINDEKU card
- The CURSED WINDEKU costs 6 points of mana and this card contains 2 points of melee attack, 3 points of speed and 9 points of lives.
- The ability of the CURSED WINDEKU card is "Thorns".
- I used to use NIGHTMARE for the first position, but later I switched to the CURSED WINDEKU card. For today, I also used CURSED WINDEKU as the main tank.
For the second Position: SILENT SHA-VI card
- The SILENT SHA-VI costs only 5 points of mana and this card contains 2 points of melee attack, 5 points of lives and 3 points of speed.
- The ability of the CURSED WINDEKU card is "Sneak".
- Each time I play with the death unit, I use the CURSED WINDEKU card for the first position when the mana point is low and for the second position when the mana point is high. For this battle I used for the second position.
For the third Position: the Crypt beetle card
- The Crypt beetle card cost only 3 points of mana and this card contains 1 point of melee attack, 1 point of speed, 1 points of armor point and 2 points of lives.
- The Crypt beetle of ability is ' Shield'. Shield ability can reduce damage from melee and ranged attack.
- The Crypt beetle monster is the challenge monster of this week. I intend to use melee attack mainly in this battle. I think the melee attack on the Crypt beetle will also be useful to me.
For the fourth position: CARRION SHADE Card
- The CARRION SHADE card cost only 1 point of mana and this card contains 2 points of lives, 1 point of melee attack and 2 points of speed.
- After selecting the third position, I still have 1 mana point left. And I chose CARRION SHADE card because I want to use melee attack too.
For the fourth position, FURIOUS CHICKEN card
Battle Rounds
Round-1
- The enemy used the earth unit as I expected, but did not use the magic summoner card. In this battle the enemy used earth unit and I used death unit. The enemy-selected summoner card decreases the armor points on my team.
- My summoner card reduced enemy lives points and magic attack points. Using the GOBLIN PSYCHIC in the enemy's second position, I was able to reduce the enemy's magic attack point.
- The enemy uses a unicorn and GOBLIN PSYCHIC card together. I was a little worried because I thought it would make the enemy's main tank stronger.
- In Round-1, the enemy focuses on my team's first position. My team starts attacking the enemy's first and last position. At the end of Round-1, I won the last position of the enemy.
Round-2
- By Round 2, the enemy has only two cards left. My team is still strong.
- My main tank is getting weaker and the enemy GOBLIN PSYCHIC is getting weaker. Enemy GOBLIN PSYCHIC can increase the unicorn lives point even when it starts to weaken.
- At the end of Round 2, I defeated the enemy GOBLIN PSYCHIC. Then Round-3 began.
Round-3
- It was only in Round-3 that SILENT SHA-VI came in first position. The enemy GOBLIN PSYCHIC was gone, so I could easily defeat the unicorn.
Even after playing Round 6, I still have 4 cards left and still strong. This battle was both interesting and enjoyable for me. This battle was easy for me, but I was a little worried. I will try to use Crypt beetle card in other battles these days. I will try to make my second challenge post a better battle using Crypt beetle. That's all for today. Thank you all very much.
