When you lose someone, you may not fully accept they’re gone until you see them laid to rest at the funeral.

It was a day of mourning as one of the assistant priests in my parish was laid to rest. Though young—39 years old and 9+ years in priesthood—he lived a good life, as people shared their encounters with him. May his soul, and the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen. 🙏
