Hey there, I have been gone...for around a week I guess haha. Welp it's the end of the year, the time right before holidays and for student's it's always a rather stressfull time D; I am a graphic design student right now and unfortunately I have fallen bahind on the program a little (by little I mean two months of work that I managed to do in a week :D :D :D). Sooo for the last week I wasn't able to do much than to sleep and study and repeat. So I decided I would show you todays some of the work I did as a student :)
In a nutshell I am studying photoshop, corelDraw then advertising programing and some psychology why people buy stuff they do. Fun huh?
After a month of studying came the first 'real' project for us. We had to make social posters and we were free to choose any topic for it.
I choose to make a poster about unhealthy smartphone, social app usage and how it is sucking all of our time.
Since I wasn't all that much at school, I tried to show all my creativity and talent in one poster and then show it to the teacher.
This was it! All of my imagination and creativity with no guidance hahah :D
(the text in the poster means : are you really spending your time wisely?)
Now after I made this I was very proud! I thought it looked cool! And that it was a cool idea and it really represented what I tried to show!...
Turns out it wasn't good at all hahaha :D
After I showed it to the teacher, she told me the first thing that catches the eye is the sand....and not the sandclock or the hand with the smartphone. I thought it was fine, you would first see the sand, then the phone and lastly the text. But turns out it wasn't good, so I had scrap this poster :(
This time I had a teachers help soooo I made some good posters which I will show you and tell you why they are good! :)
So in this one the text still is the same as in the last one, but now it's in all caps and catches attention better :) Also in this one there is way less details and I implemented the actuall social apps. Sooo overall this one is way more to the point than the last one is. And there a lesson : the less detail in the poster the better.
This is the second poster I made still with the same idea :)
(the text says : time is falling apart)
Noooow this one...is packed with details. Why is it good? Because my teacher said so! hahahah :D Overall this one gets the point across rather good. The apps are falling from the phone like they are nothing and they are taking the time with them too. Time which you will never be able to take back.
Soooo this is all I have for now. Tell me which of the posters was your favorite? I'm really excided to hear your opinion :)
Also if you liked to see my student work, let me know I can upload more of the exciting stuff that I create in school :)
